As you enter Temporary Sanity in Orange Beach, our name for Summer House 1104A, the first thing you will notice is the upgraded, professionally decorated, and recently renovated finishes. You smelled the fresh salt tinged air walking up to the door, but when you open it you see the bright white colors, beautiful wood grains and fantastic decorations that tell you…”we’re at the beach!!!!”
The balcony…this one has it all. The famous Summer House oversized Patio with privacy walls…and the A building “04” units are over the pool by the beach. Yes, you can see the pool festivities if you like, or you can hang back and catch some sun in privacy.
Summer House currently has a sandbar about 50’ offshore. This creates a fantastic break for kids to play on the beach and it also has the effect of drawing the smaller fish to the bar. Where there is dinner, there are patrons and those happen to be dolphins! From 1104A, you can clearly see the dolphins and rays doing what dolphins and rays do….and is also a great place to catch what the Blue Angels do too!
This is a truly a second home personal property and is outfitted for the owner's family comfort which they are generously offering to share with your family! The unit has >200MB high speed internet and modern generation TV’s in each room. In fact, the owner insists on quality televisions and amenities. The living area TV is a large OLED TV with Dolby Surround Sound. That is not standard in most beach rentals. All TV's are high quality Smart TVs.
You can comfortably enjoy this open floor plan with 9 of your family and friends without climbing over top of each other.
The kitchen is updated and fully equipped with everything you'd need for creating delicious meals and snacks.
We just remodeled Temporary Sanity to now have a Dry bar with a Wine Cooler!
The master bedroom has a comfortable king bed for your retreat after a day of sun and sand and has a private master bathroom with an updated walk in shower with a high end glass enclosure.
The other two bedrooms and bath is located on a separate wing off the kitchen. One bedroom has a plush King bed and the other is equipped with two Queen beds. The guest bathroom also features a tub/shower combo.
The Summer House complex has a variety of amenities to enjoy during your stay including indoor and outdoor pools, an indoor hot tub, and sauna room. When you're ready to head to the beach, head down the private boardwalk and on your way back in stop by the outdoor shower area to rinse the sand off. There's also a charcoal BBQ area, tennis courts, basketball goal and outdoor racquetball court.

Parking is limited to 2 vehicles at Summer House. You will pay $50 per vehicle for a vehicle registration certificate available at the guard shack or across the street at our Summer House office (during workday hours).
Summer House Restoration Project 2024-2025 Update.
Summer House HOA voted for a massive building restoration project that began September 2023. Building B is 100% complete.
Building A is currently closed and will be completed by mid-May.
If you see the dates available to book, then that is when the building renovations have been completed for 2025!
The project is expected to be entirely completed before Memorial Day 2025 although our unit, 1104A, will likely be available prior. We also believe the pool will reopen around April…but that is subject to weather and other factors.

About the Owner
We are both pharmacists who Graduated from Samford University in the mid-2000s, we worked corporate jobs for a few years before opening our own independent pharmacy, appropriately named Stephens Pharmacy in Birmingham, AL. We still own and operate it today. We have two children who love Summer House and "the Beach".
